Articles

Welcome to our Super Wild Card Weekend Shark Attack playoff article. This is always a fun weekend as we have football on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This article will be focused on Saturday’s 2 games for both Draftkings and Fanduel. Lets dive in from a position by position breakdown.

Quarterbacks

  • C.J Stroud-  He has been on a complete tear this year versus single high coverage. The Browns run single high coverage at one of the highest rates in the league during the regular season. Cleveland appear to be a brutal match up on paper but I would not be shocked at all if Stroud goes for 300+ passing yards and 2-3 TDs here. He is my favorite QB on the Saturday only slate.

  • Pat Mahomes-  The Chiefs are not the same Chiefs that we are used to as they are now a defensive team. This has been a down year for Pat but it’s hard to count them out. Weather is a concern here but this will also bring ownership way down on one of the condensed offenses in the league.

Running Backs

  • Isiah Pacheco-  80% snap rate, 55% route share, and 5.3 targets a game over the last 3 starts with Jerrick Mckinnon being on IR. Pacheco is the top RB option on the slate by a wide margin.

  • Devin Singletary- He’s the top RB value of the slate (by projected points per dollar of salary) and a must-play in cash. Even in GPPs I do plan to be overweight as this match up on paper is actually better than what the field may think.

  • These two are my preferred RBs as the Saturday slate lacks upside at the RB position. If making 20+ lineups then I would look to include Ford, Achane and Mostert.

Wide Receiver-

  • Nico Collins-  I expressed my love for Stroud in the QB section and I love Collins even more as he has dominated single-high shells this year. Match up gets even better if Ward misses.

  • Elijah Moore-  I plan to go underweight on Cooper this weekend so grabbing Moore as leverage off him at a much lower ownership is great for GPPs. Cedrick Tillman is out so this could also give him a boost in target share.

  • Rashee Rice/ Jaylen Waddle-  I love both of these guys in the “Weather game” as great leverage off Cooper. They will be half of the ownership in what I believe a game that still has shootout upside.

Strategy Thoughts

  • The field is looking to load up on the Browns passing game and I think this is the wrong way to approach this game. The Texans at home will be much better than their Week 16 match up versus Cleveland. I will be fading Flacco and Cooper on both Fanduel and Draftkings and instead look to some of the cheaper guys in Elijah Moore and Kareem Hunt (MME). The Texans side is who I want the most. C.J Stroud and Nico Collins will be core pieces in my builds on both sites. Also will look to include Singletary and Dalton Shultz in Texans onslaughts.

  • KC/MIA has the biggest weather concern as this will be one of the coldest games in NFL history. This will result in the field looking to go way underweight on this game. I plan to do the complete opposite and instead stack it up on both sides. I prefer the Chiefs side in Pat Mahomes, Pacacho, Rice and Kelce but I will also have some Tua/ Waddle and/or Hill stacks. If Waddle plays then he will be my preferred run back option in Chiefs stacks.
