The Raiders host the Ravens in our final game of  Week 1, and also it is the first time that live fans will be watching the Raiders in Allegiant Stadium. This is a great spot for the Raiders as they will be playing with a lot of emotion tonight and pivoting to them in Large Field GPP tournaments will give you great leverage as they will be overlooked.  Most sports-books have the Ravens at 4 point favorites tonight and the over/under in the game is around 50-50.5 points but sports bettors are backing the Raiders alot tonight as this line opened at +5.5. As of now 63% of the spread bets are backing the Raiders.

FanDuel Strategy

Lamar has the highest “Shark Rating” on the slate by a significant margin tonight.  Since FanDuel does not require extra salary for a player in the MVP spot, it is going to be hard to move away from Jackson as a MVP pick. His ability as a rusher gives him a very solid floor and ceiling combo. We have him projected for over 50% ownership at the MVP slot which indicates that he will be very high owned but we recommend to still play him and find other ways to be different tonight.

A few ways that we recommend being different with Lamar MVP lineups tonight is by leaving a significant amount of salary left over in your lineups. I would say build your lineups with at least 1500 dollars left over to avoid the chance of your lineup being duplicated over 300 times. Also when using him as your MVP look to target one or two of his pass catchers. If trying to pair him with two pass catchers then one of the guys needs to be one of the cheaper guys outside of Andrews, Brown and Watkins. So this leaves guys like Devin Duvernay, Josh Oliver and James Proche.

As far as the backfield for the Ravens we have some uncertainty on how much of a workload Williams will get tonight which makes him a tough to guy to pay with a pretty high price tag on both sites. I prefer targeting Murray instead at a much cheaper price on both sites. We need to get some type of word or insight on how many snaps he may get though.

On the Raiders side we can look to target Derek Carr and the pass catchers as the Raiders team will go overlooked on both sites. Darren Waller will gain the most ownership but do not forget about Bryan Edwards and Henry Ruggs as the Ravens are down Marcus Peters and potentially Jimmy Smith as he is listed as doubtful.  Even a guy like Kenyon Drake is in play as well especially if you are building your lineup with a script that the Ravens are winning with a solid lead early.

Overall for FanDuel I recommend to build lineups with Lamar as your MVP and pair him with one or two pass catchers and then targeting the Raiders for the remaining slots in your lineups. Remember to not forget about the WRs on the Raiders side they are in a great spot and are cheap!

Draftkings Strategy

On Draftkings we have to pay the extra premium for the CPT which makes a very high Lamar Jackson even more higher at the CPT. He is still in play but you will for sure need to pay down for the rest of your lineup. I like targeting some of his cheaper priced WRs that I listed above in the FanDuel section as great salary relief options for Lamar CPT lineups. Lamar is projecting to be 30-35% owned at the CPT spot so this is still pretty high owned so I recommend to leave at least 1K left over in salary to avoid the chance of being heavily duplicated.

On Draftkings I am more inclined to take more of risk and not roster Lamar as my CPT and look to roster some lower owned Raiders option instead. The game total is at 50.5 which indicates there will be a good amount of scoring and the Raiders side will be overlooked as a CPT option for sure. I would look to roster guys from the passing game which includes Carr, Waller, Edwards and Ruggs. As I indicated in the FanDuel section this is a great spot for the Raiders WRs one way to be different is to play a cheap Edwards or Ruggs at the CPT spot and fill in the rest of your lineup with the top projected options on both sides of the game.

Overall I recommend  to lock in Lamar in your lineups at either the Flex or CPT option and then look to target more of the Raiders side. I am very interested in the 4-2 build tonight by rostering 4 Raiders and 2 Ravens.

Be sure to check out our lineup template closer to lock to get an insight on what guys we are using in our builds for each type of contest!
