Thursday Night Football Strategy

Cowboys come into this game as 9 point underdogs at the time of this writing and they are going to be under-owned in all formats tonight on both sites. Playing them at the MVP/CPT option will give you a great amount of leverage on both sites tonight. Our single game model runs over 10,000 simulations for tonights game and we have Dak Prescott  coming in at the MVP on FanDuel 44% of the time and on Draftkngs at 30% of the time which is almost double the projected amount of ownership for them at those positions. Below I will go over some strategy options for both sites and how I plan to build per site.

FanDuel

One viable way to build tonight is to just play Dak Prescott and Tom Brady at the MVP position in majority of your builds are all of you want to take a stand. By looking at our model Dak Prescott will give you more leverage and has a higher chance of being the leading scorer tonight so I plan to have more shares of him as my MVP. Both teams are projecting to play at a very fast pace tonight so we are expecting a shootout. A game script that I like tonight is the Bucs getting ahead early and Dak has to compete with the scoring of the Bucs by passing the ball and using his rushing upside as well. I will not have much of Zeke Elliot tonight as  he does not grade out the best and he can get scripted out the game if Bucs have a big lead.

Another viable way to build tonight on FanDuel is to roster a WR at your MVP spot. Antonio Brown, CeDee Lamb and Amir Cooper are in play as great leverage plays tonight. With the 0.5 per reception on FanDuel its not as likely that they are the highest scoring player on the slate.  What would need to happen is that they are receiving majority of the targets tonight and get at least 2TDs then they a legit chance at being in the winning MVP spot. With playing lineups like this you have a less chance of being duplicated.

For construction options on FanDuel I recommend doing a 3-2 build which means 3 players from one team and two players from the opposing team. Majority of my builds will be centered around 3 Cowboys and 2 Bucs but either or is viable tonight.

Draftkings

Same approach for FanDuel as I want to target Dak in as much of my lineups as possible but I am more inclined on taking some shots at the WR group due to the full point for receptions. This makes Antonio Brown, CeDee Lamb and Amir Cooper in play as great leverage CPT options that will come in a very low ownership. Based on our model all three DAL WRs have the potential to be the highest scoring player on the slate especially in a great game script. Gio Bernard is also a guy on Draftkings that is much more viable as he is projecting to get a lot of  3rd down passing work tonight.

For roster construction tonight on Draftkings I want to recommend building 4-2 or 3-3 type of lineups more concentrated on the Dallas side in your 4-2 builds.
