In this article we will look to target 4 players that are grading out well in our early projections runs that can be used as a core to start building lineups. Keep in mind that in the NBA when news comes out throughout the day a good play at 12pm ET could be an average play by the time of lock. Let’s dive in!
I believe that starting your builds with these players on each slate is a recipe for profitability over the long run. Some of these plays will be chalky but in the NBA, majority of the time the chalk is chalk for good reason as variance is not as high compared to other DFS sports.
Kevin Porter Jr (DK 6,300 FD 5800)- Rockets could be very shorthanded again tonight especially if Dennis Schroder misses. Even if they are in I still love Porter as he has a huge ceiling. Priced way to low for his upside in this matchup. One of my favorite GPP plays of the night
Luka Doncic (DK 12,300 FD 11,100)- Great matchup for Luka tonight and his usage could be even higher if Brunson misses again. Last game with Brunson out we saw Luka usage rate increase up to 30%. Even at the high price tag on both sites he is still very much in play.
DeAaron Fox (DK 9300 FD 8900)- Fox was already on my radar before Sabonis got ruled out but now with Sabonis being out this makes Fox pretty much a lock on both sites. He has been on a complete tear the past 5 games averaging over 45 fantasy points. Fire him up with confidence tonight on both sites.
Marvin Bagley (DK 5000, FD 5,700)- More of a DK play as he is cheaper but I still have interest on FD as well. He is showing up in 43% of our optimal runs for DK and 22% FD so there is a great amount of upside here. Even if he does not start for Stewart tonight he still brings a great amount of production off the bench and is a very solid option!
