In this article we will look to target 4 players that are grading out well in our early projections runs that can be used as a core to start building lineups. Keep in mind that in the NBA when news comes out throughout the day a good play at 12pm ET could be an average play by the time of lock. Let’s dive in!
I believe that starting your builds with these players on each slate is a recipe for profitability over the long run. Some of these plays will be chalky but in the NBA, majority of the time the chalk is chalk for good reason as variance is not as high compared to other DFS sports.
Devonte Graham (DK 4300, FD 4300)- He is one of the best value plays on the slate if not the best value play on the entire slate as Brandon Ingram and C.J McCollum are both out tonight. He gets an insane usage bump with both of them off the floor. At 4.3K on both sites he is a lock on both sites in all formats. He will be very high owned so in GPPs it is very important to be unique with your lineup construction in order to get some type of leverage in your contest.
Rudy Gobert (DK 7400, FD 7400)- Big Rudy is projecting very well in our models tonight and he is projecting to be very underowned on both sites. I love his price tag at 7.4K and this is a spot where he can flash upside. I love rostering Rudy in matchups that he will be going up against a big that does not draw him out of the paint. This maximizes his chances for rebounds and we could easlily see a double double from him tonight. Fire Rudy up with confidence on both sites!
Luka Doncic (DK 12000, FD 10700)- Luka has been on a tear after getting snubbed as an All Star starter and tonight’s matchup is one of the best matchups on the slate. He gets a nice usage boost with Brunson and Finley Smith ruled off the court and this game should stay close throughout which should give us no worry on him not seeing his full amount of minutes. He is priced up especially on DK but we have the value to fit him in for sure!
Alex Burks (DK 5500, FD 5500)- Once the Knicks shut down Kemba Walker for the year Burks minutes have been trending up as he is averaging over 30 mins per game. This is a a big pace up spot for the Knicks as the Grizzles play at one of the fastest pace in the league and at 5.5K on both sites Burks is a very fine guard option tonight. If this game can stay close we could see a ceiling game from him which makes him a very fine GPP play.
