MLB is on a break but we still get a chance to make some bets for the Home Run Derby. Fanduel is also benefiting us with a contest tonight while we watch the HRs. Let’s break down a few bets we like and also a few ways we can build our lineup for tonight.

Majority of sports books are favoring the lefties tonight as they are -220 favorites to win the contest. Which makes sense as Coors field over the years has given up the most HRs to left handed batters. Shohei Ohtani is the favorite tonight coming in at +220 odds to win and I expect this to go down even more before 8pm ET. These events are rather random to predict, so I hate betting on the favorites as you lose out on the “value”‘of the pick.

There is two guys that I am interested in loading up on tonight in bets and also fantasy wise.

First, Matt Olson (+550) is my favorite hitter tonight as he is 2nd in the AL this year with 22 HRs. His odds bring you great value and by looking at his bracket he  possibly has the easiest path to the finals.

Next, Joey Gallo( +350) is in play as well but keep in mind if Olson and Gallo meet in the semi finals only one can make it to the finals.

Last, is Juan Soto(+950) he has the favorite Othani  in the first round so this is a true dark horse pick but if he him knocks off in the 1st round you have to expect he will be in position to win it all.

Overall I want to target the lefties tonight in bets and fantasy wise! If I had to list my favorite bets/hitters from 1-4 it would be

1.Matt Olson (+550)

2. Shohei Othani (+220)

3. Joey Gallo (+350)

4. Juan Soto (+950)

Good luck tonight!
