In this article we will look to identify our top pitchers and stacks for tonight’s main slate. I believe that starting your builds with these players on each slate is a recipe for profitability over the long run.

 

Top Pitchers To Consider

 

• Carlos Rondon (DK 9.3K/ FD 10.9k) – He has a 32% strikeout rate and a 2.72 SIERA over the last month and he is very under priced on DK. On FD he is only 400 dollars cheaper than Corbin Burnes.  Very strong option on both sites tonight

 

 

• Corbin Burnes (DK 10.6K, FD 11.3K)-   A great spot for Burnes tonight against a Giants team that will strike out in bunches. He has the 2nd highest shark rating in our pitching model and should come  lower owned than Carlos Rondon. 

 

 

• Triston McKenzie ( DK 8.3K, FD 9.3K)-  McKenzie is very much in play even with his HR struggles. Detroit lineup is one of the worst in the league as far as having raw power vs right handed pitching. The strikeouts should be there for him as well. CLE had to use 5 pitchers  last night also due to their SP getting hurt in the first inning so his leash could be a lot longer than usual if he is effective.

 

 

Overall Pitching Thoughts

 

There are really 8-12 viable pitching options tonight but I normally like to narrow my pool down to 4-6. Its 3 other pitchers that did not make the top list but will be considered in my pitching pool as well and they are Kevin Gausman,Kutter Crawford and Carlos Carrasco.  In majority of builds I plan to start my lineups with one of Burnes/Rondon but on DK I am OK with even playing them together as this should be an awesome pitchers duel to watch tonight.

 

Top Stacks To Target

 

• Atlanta Braves-  They will be very chalky tonight on both sites but they get an incredible match up against Anibal Sanchez. Braves also lead the slate with the highest team total as well. Stack them up with confidence tonight but remember that they will most likely be the chalkiest team on the slate.

 

 

• Houston Astros-  I always like playing the Astros against left handed pitching and tonight is no different. They have one of the team strikeouts % against left-handed pitching and they also get a park upgrade going into Angel Stadium of Anaheim. They will not be as owned as well which is making them one of my top stacks for GPPs

 

 

Overall Hitting Thoughts

 

From looking at things early on today I notice that there are really 4-6 spots to target tonight as far as full stacking. Toronto and the Yankees grade out pretty well also as teams to stack and in GPPs I like the idea of stacking the Seattle Mariners against a low strikeout pitcher in Martin Perez. Overall though the majority of my stacks will be centered around HOU and ATL on both sites.
