MLB DFS Breakdown: Pitchers & Stacks to Target

DFS is all about finding the right balance of upside, price, and ownership leverage. Let’s get into today’s top plays:

Pitchers

Drew Rasmussen – TB (FD 8,000, DK 8500)

Rasmussen is in a prime spot at home against the Pirates. He brings solid K upside, and with Pittsburgh’s lack of firepower, this is an ideal run-prevention matchup. He won’t break the bank, making him a strong SP1 or SP2 option in all formats.

Ben Brown – CHC (FD 7100,DK 7500)

Brown is still young but showed flashes last season with a low walk rate and legit strikeout ability. He’s in an average matchup, but the price and upside make him a strong play, especially in tournaments where you’re looking for ceiling at low ownership.

Tyler Glasnow – LAD (FD 10,500/ DK 10,000)

Glasnow’s strikeout potential is always elite, and he gets a Braves lineup that has been struggling offensively. The risk is there, but the upside is massive if his swing-and-miss stuff is working. A strong GPP play with slate-breaking potential.

Stacks

Detroit Tigers

Nobody is talking about the Tigers, and that’s a mistake. They get a below-average arm on the mound, and when factoring in price and upside, this stack is in play. Perfect GPP option—cheap, low-owned, and in a great matchup.

Washington Nationals

The lefties stand out here—CJ Abrams and James Wood are strong plays against a righty who struggles against left-handed bats. But don’t stop there; the entire Nationals lineup is viable as a full-stack option. They’ll be underowned, and there’s sneaky upside across the board.
