Upon us is another Major League Baseball season. The lockout gave us some scares, but the outcome was undeniable. The season is back and we are more excited than ever. The Sharks have put together our insight, on our favorite MLB futures to begin the season. Let’s enjoy opening day as we prepare for the marathon of the MLB season.

MLB Best Record

Chicago White Sox (+650) – One of the best assembled team will be the Chicago White Sox. Not only will they be able to dominate their division again, but they have the ability to make a statement in the MLB this season. To an already stout lineup, the Sox have added Joe Kelly, Josh Harrison ,and AJ Pollock. With some elite youth taking on big roles, expect this squad to make a statement in 2022.

American West Division Winner

Seattle Mariners (+450) – The Mariners were so close to making the playoffs last year. They will be even better with a squad coming in with ample young talent. One of the studs will be Julio Rodriguez. We will mention him more later, but these guys are going to ball. Expect the Astros to fall off as their last run came in the World Series last year. I’m not impressed with Ohtani being the ace for the Angels as well. Plus we they always find a way not to give us playoff Trout. Locked and loaded on the Mariners to win their division.

National East Division Winner

Philadelphia Phillies (+350) – I strongly believe the Braves are still the best in the division. But as a gambling man, the odds for the Phillies to win this division are too great to pass up. The reigning NL MVP is the real deal! Expect this team to be in the mix until the final days to win it.

AL MVP

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+400) – It was difficult to come to a consensus for this pick. The front runner definitely has to come out of the NL East in my opinion. The small fields and the ball carries in this division so be on the lookout for monstrous numbers from these teams. Vlad Jr. is in the best situation to have a big year.

NL MVP

Ronald Acuna Jr. (+550) – Not much to say. He’s back so get ready for fireworks in this Braves lineup. With Freddie Freeman gone, this guy wants all the responsibilities as the start in Atlanta.

AL Rookie Of the Year

Julio Rodriguez (+500)- I mentioned the huge season from the Mariners ahead. Look for this guy to be a stable in the lineup for a dominate team. Star is written all over this guy. Bobby Whit Jr. is the favorite to win, and should be. But this guy JRod will show he’s the best when the season is all said and done.
