Western Kentucky @ Charlotte (-3.5)

Tonight we have the final regular season meeting between Western Kentucky and Charlotte at 7pm EST. Both teams have identical records at 14-11 and Western Kentucky a slight edge in conference play at 6-8 while Charlotte is 5-9. Even though both teams have the same record, both teams are trending in different directions. Western Kentucky is on a 3 game win streak and 4-1 ATS (Against the Spread) compared to Charlotte’s 1-4 in their last 5 games, and 1-4 ATS.

In the first contest this year, Charlotte pulled off an impressive 75-71 win as a 3 point underdog on Western Michigan’s court. Charlotte loves to play at a slow pace and ranks 15th in the nation at points allowed per game at 61.5. However, slow doesn’t always mean effective. Expect for Western Kentucky’s leading scorer Dayvion McKnight to have his way tonight. Also, a huge piece was missing in the first meeting between them as well. The senior 7’5 center Jamarion Sharp will be active and ready to go this time around versus Charlotte. Yes, that was not a typo either. Sharp is 7’5, and at any point his rebounding and blocking abilities can take over the game. Prepare for an entertaining Conference USA matchup tonight.
