Let’s get right into it — we’ve got a juicy MLB DFS slate on tap, and it starts at the top with a few arms who are in prime spots to print fantasy points.

Pitching Breakdown

Jacob deGrom is the clear-cut top arm today. He gets a Seattle lineup that’s bottom-third in strikeout rate, struggling for consistent production, and carrying one of the lowest team totals on the slate. DeGrom’s velocity and swing-and-miss stuff have looked sharp, and he’s stretched out enough to go deep if he’s cruising. He’s expensive, sure, but the upside is unmatched today.

Next up, Robbie Ray is in a sneaky-good spot. He draws a Yankees team that’s been striking out at an alarming clip to start the season — especially against lefties. If Ray can harness his control early and work ahead, the K potential is massive here. Don’t be surprised if he posts one of his classic 10+ strikeout performances.

Looking for some more K upside? Nick Pivetta is your guy. He gets the Rockies away from Coors, and historically, that’s a completely different team on the road. The game total is sitting at just 6.5, and Pivetta’s strikeout upside always gives him a high ceiling. At his price, he doesn’t need to be perfect — just give you 6 strong and rack up the punchouts.

Stacks to Consider

On the hitting side, start with the  LA Angels. They’ve been red hot, and now they get a matchup against Ronel Blanco — who hasn’t looked right, even going back to spring training. The top of that Angels lineup has power, speed, and plenty of correlation. This is a high-upside stack in all formats.

If you’re looking to go a bit contrarian, the Miami Marlins offer an under-the-radar stack that could pay off. They’ll face lefty Mitchell Parker, and this Marlins team has a few righties who can really do damage. They won’t carry much ownership, making them a great leverage play with solid ceiling potential.

And finally, the Atlanta Braves are in a smash spot against  Taj Bradley. This is a deep lineup with elite right-handed bats, and they’ve been feasting in plus matchups. Don’t overthink it — the Braves are always in play when they’re in a good hitting environment, and this one checks the boxes.

This slate has a little bit of everything — elite pitching, value arms, and stack spots both chalky and sneaky. Build smart, find leverage, and get those lineups in early.
