Knicks (-1.5) @ Magic- 225.5

 

• The Knicks are coming off a very impressive comeback win versus the 76ers last game. They now get a beatable match up versus the Magic. We have news in this game as R.J Barret is currently listed as questionable. If he is active then I have very little interest in this team as a whole. If he is out then we can look at Jalen Brunson, I. Quickely and Julias Randle as they all see a usage boost.

 

• The Magic are priced pretty efficiently on both sites as no one really stands out as a great play as of now. In large field GPPs I do not mind taking a few shots at Mo Wagner, Paolo Banchero, and Wendall Carter.

 

Hawks @ Pelicans (-1)- 237

 

• The Hawks have been competitive on the road and this is as healthy as they have been all season. Trae Young is in play on both sites as he is grading out well in early run of projections. Dejounte Murray is fine as well on both sites but I would set a max rule of 1 as it’s rare that both of them reach their ceilings together.

 

• The big men for the Hawks are in play as well especially for large field GPPs. IF I had to choose between the two I would go with Clint Capela over John Collins due to his upside with blocks.

 

• The Pelicans are getting healthy as well as Brandon Ingram is back to playing 30+ minutes. He leads the team in usage with Zion off the court and at 7.1K on DK he is fine in mid tier builds, CJ McCollum gets the best match up on paper as he could see very little defense from Trae Young. His price is much better on FD at 7.6K.

 

 

Suns (-7) @ Nets- 225

 

• Devin Booker is projected to be back tonight on a minutes limit. This hurts Chris Paul and Mikal Bridges a good bit as they are still priced as if Booker is out. Its really hard to make a case for anyone on the Suns even with Booker playing limited minutes.

 

• Cam Thomas is on a complete heater scoring over 40 points in the past 2 games. He is clearly taking advantage of Durant being out and Kyrie being traded away. He is in play again with Spencer Dinwiddle being out again tonight. Edmon Summer also sees a boost as well and is priced well on both sites. I have interest in both but I will be setting a rule of max 1.

 

 

Bulls @ Grizzles (-8)- 235.5

 

• Demar Derozon was added to the injury report today with a hip injury so this is worth monitoring as the day goes on. If he does miss then this would open up more usage for Nikola Vuc and Zach Lavine.  The match up is tough on paper as the Grizzles are ranked in the top 5 in rebound rate and defensive rate. Its hard to pass up on the usage increase though if Derozon is out. I would set a max rule of 1 with majority of my interest going towards Lavine.

 

• The Grizzles are still without Steven Adams so we should see Xaiver Tillman start and play 26+ minutes in this spot versus  Vuc. The match up is not the best but he is still priced pretty cheap on both sites. Outside of Tillman, Ja Morant is grading out pretty well in early runs of projections on both sites.

 

T-Wolves @ Nuggets (-9)- 235.5

 

• Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell lead the team in usage with Karl Anthony- Towns still being out. Both are in play especially for large field GPPs and I will be setting a max 1 rule as I do not want to play them together. We have to watch Rudy Gobert news as the day goes on as he is still dealing with a groin injury. If he was to miss then Naz Reid would become a core option even in a tough match up versus Nikola Jokic. 

 

• On the Nuggets side, Jammal Murray was a late downgrade on the injury report to questionable which is never a good sign for a player’s availability.  If he is active then I have interest but if he is out then this would give Nikola Jokic, Bones Hyland and Micheal Porter solid usage increases. This is news to watch as the day goes on.

 

 

Thunders @ Lakers (-6.5)- 239

 

• Highest total game on the slate as both teams are ranked in the top 10 in pace. The Lakers are fully healthy tonight as they are expected to get back  Austin Reeves. It’s hard to make a case for anyone for the Lakers in main builds but I will for sure take a few shots at Lebron James who could break the scoring record tonight.

 

• The Thunder are coming off a beat down in Golden State last night and they are still a little banged up with Lu Dort being out. Shai Alexander did have a bad game last night but this is a bounce back spot for him and I will for sure be overweight in large field GPPs. Josh Giddey is also a solid target as his skill set could give the small guards for the Lakers some issues.
