In this article we will look to target 4 players that are grading out well in our early projections runs that can be used as a core to start building lineups. Keep in mind that in the NBA when news comes out throughout the day a good play at 12pm ET could be an average play by the time of lock. Let’s dive in!
I believe that starting your builds with these players on each slate is a recipe for profitability over the long run. Some of these plays will be chalky but in the NBA, majority of the time the chalk is chalk for good reason as variance is not as high compared to other DFS sports.
Rudy Gay (DK 3,100 FD 3,500)– Rudy is projecting really well in our early models and rightfully so as he should see a minutes boost with Trent Forest and Daniel House both being ruled out. Elite value on both sites but this play will come with a decent amount of ownership due to the lack of value on this slate. Lock him in for cash games and possibly even the field in GPPs.
Clint Capela ( DK 6,100 FD 6000)- With Collins being out again and how juicy this matchup is against the Hornets. He has double double upside and could easily gives up 5x- 6x return at his 6K price tag. This game is very stackable so this makes him viable in GPPs as well.
Giannis (DK 11,700 FD 11,400)- We have a ton of spend up options tonight but Giannis is leading the way in our model when you consider his price and upside on both sites. This matchup is great for DFS as the Kings play at a very fast pace and are very vulnerable inside the paint. If this game can stay close we could easily see a 60+ fantasy point outing for Giannis. Fire him up win GPPs with confidence.
