Overall Strategy for DFS 

 

Super Bowl 56 should be a great one as we have some different faces this year as no Pat Mahomes or Tom Brady. From a DFS standpoint I actually love that two teams who rarely go beyond their top 3 at WR as far as volume and mostly get only their TE1 involved are playing because this makes lineup building very concentrated. We do have to worry about Darrell Henderson as he may get a few snaps coming back from injury reserve and maybe a cheap TD from Samaje Perine or Ben Skowronek but other than that we know where the ball is going to go. Most contest are very huge on both sites so we have to find a way to be unique in order to have a chance for the top prize. Its 3 ways to build lineups for these type of contest 

 

• Leave a great amount of salary on the table on both sites (1K or more.) With majority of the field trying to jam in the top plays on both sites we could see a lot of max salary lineups on both sites. Leaving more than 1K would be a great way to be unique. 

 

• Play both kickers together on FD and on DK play 1-2 Kickers with a defense. Playing both Kickers together on FD is a great way to get leverage especially with the game total creeping around 50 on most sportsbooks. This would give you a different build as you would need the game to go way under than the listed game total. 

 

•  My favorite of them all is to play a non correlated lineup with just 1 QB. Everyone is going to play Cooper Kupp of course and this will lead to Matt Stafford being super high owned on both sites due to the fact that the DFS world will think that you have to play QB + WR1 together in showdowns. That is not the case especially with Kupp and Stafford as Kupp can accumulate alot of his production with reception and yards as he is a target monster. On the Bengals side that is not the case as Burrow can spread the ball out alot more and get HIggins, Boyd, Chase, Mixon and C.J Unzomah involved more! Let’s dive into a GPP strategy that I will be approaching per site.

 

Fanduel Strategy 

 

 

• On FD I plan to just target Kupp and Burrow as my MVPs and to play just 1 QB per lineup (Joe Burrow.) I would not roster anyone lower than the 7K range as they do not have enough upside. Also the 10K range is projecting to be super low owned so guys like Chase, Odell and Akers are great. If rostering Burrow at your MVP I would look at pairing him with at least 2-3 pass catchers. From a lineup construction standpoint 3-2 builds and 4-1 builds are in play. A 4-1 Bengals build with only Kupp is very different!!

 

• Top MVP Options- Cooper Kupp, Joe Burrow

 

 

Draftkings Strategy

 

• Now for DK builds are somewhat the same as I still want only 1 QB (Joe Burrow) and we still should leave salary on the table. As far as CPTs. HIggins, Kupp and Burrow are my top choices but with how bad the value plays are for this slate paying down at CPT is my top choices. So Higgins, Boyd and C.J Unzomah are grading out very well as Bengals CPTs and on the Rams side Akers is fine or if you want to take a shot on Jefferson that is fine as well. For roster construction I would look to target either 3-3 balanced builds or 4-2 builds favoring the Bengals side.

 

• Top CPT Options- Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Cooper Kupp, Joe Burrow.
