We get a great game tonight in what could easily be the same two teams contending for the AFC Championship this year. Lets dive in and see where we can gain some edges tonight in our contest.
Draftkings Strategy
- Our model is very high on the QBs in this matchup and rightfully so as these two guys both have scrambling ability and have a very high ceiling. We are higher on Josh Allen tonight as he has carries the highest Shark Rating at the CPT spot. Pat Mahomes CPT lineups are still very much in play but as he also holds a very high Shark Rating as well.
- In large field tournaments Clyde Edwards-Helaire CPT lineups are in play also as it gives you a unique type of build and also tons of leverage against the passing game. Clyde Edwards-Helaire of course does not have a higher ceiling than the QBs but he can give you tons of value at the CPT spot and allow for a extra spend up option that Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes CPT lineups will not allow you to do.
- The pass catchers are not grading out very well at the CPT spot tonight in our model but they are projecting for a great amount of ownership and this is a spot where we can fade them and get a ton of leverage tonight. We can still roster these guys at the flex but staying away from them at the CPT spot is my recommended way to build.
- If playing Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes CPT lineups then we are going to need some flex options that will gives us a great amount of value.
- The running backs from the KC side (Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams are very much in play as they hold a very high Shark Rating and both have a very reasonable price tag as a flex option. I would not play them both together though as they do have negative correlation.
- Even on the Bills side Devin Singletary is in play as well as a flex option that gives you a great amount of value.
- Some of the cheap pass catchers that are grading out well are Josh Gordon, Cole Beasley, Isiah Mckensize, Byron Pringle and Gabriel Davis.
- Overall a balanced build (3-3) is my ideal way to build lineups tonight as we should get a great amount of scoring from both sides.
FanDuel Strategy
- Same as Draftkings we see the QBs with the highest Shark Rating at the MVP spot and this is spot where I want to focus on them as my MVP in pretty much all my builds. Josh Allen once again leads our model and is the guy of preference
- Even in the flex on FD it is VERY difficult to be quality lineups with both QBs and one of Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Stefon Diggs, As crazy as this may sound but I am very interested in fading or going way under weight on the guys listed above and instead look to target other options in the flex.
- Even on FD the running backs are grading out very well as flex options and these are the guys that I want to target. What I like the most is that they all get some type of passing volume as well which is golden if one of the running backs catch a receiving TD.
- Majority of my builds on FD will be centered around a 3-2 build. Mostly on the Bills side as they are projecting to give off the best value at their price points.
- Like always look to leave salary on the table to get unique in your builds
