We have a divisional game tonight between the New York Giants and the Washington Football Team. The Washington Football Team come into this game as 3.5 favorites and the Over/Under is around 40 points on most  sports books.  There is not much injury news on both sides as Ryan Fitzpatrick is out so Taylor Heinicke will start at QB for Washington, while Evan Engram is OUT for NYG and Kyle Rudolph will be the starting TE. Lets dive in and see where we can gain a few edges in our builds tonight on both sites. 

FanDuel Strategy

Salary is not a concern on either site tonight but especially on FanDuel as we pretty much can build any type of lineup that we want due to the relaxed pricing. On either side of the ball there is two non-elite QBs, and the game total is just 40.5 so we can’t expect too much scoring from either team. I recommend building 2-3 ways tonight based on your risk tolerance and your game script of the game.

• The optimal way to build tonight on FanDuel would be to roster Antonio Gibson in all of your lineups at the MVP as he has a very solid floor and also a very high ceiling as well. He saw majority of the snaps in Week 1 and had a 56% target share out of the 48 snaps last week. Gibson will be high owned on both sites but he is a very safe play as well.

• Both QBs are coming in at much lower ownership  than Gibson especially on FanDuel and based on our model Taylor Heincike has the highest MVP Shark Rating by a wide margin. We have him coming in at the MVP spot in 33% of our  simulations which is almost double his projected ownership at that spot tonight. We believe  there’s a massive edge in locking Heinicke at MVP tonight and pairing him with Gibson at the flex and 1 pass catcher from WSH.

• Don’t forget about Dainel Jones on the other side of this game in a game script that has the Giants trailing and the running game gets fazed out of their game plan. Same as Heincike he provides a massive amount of leverage by rostering him at the MVP spot. If playing him at the MVP spot we recommend playing him with two his pass catchers and also still playing Gibson as a FLEX option.

• Overall in majority of my builds I plan to fade Gibson as my MVP and look to target the QBs as my MVP as a high risk/reward play. With a total this low there will not be much scoring so a rushing TD from one of the QBs and a passing TD or two would be enough to have us at the top of the leaderboards.  With how relax pricing is tonight I plan to build I my lineups with a Max Salary of 58K. So every lineup will have at least 2K left over in all my large field GPP builds.

DraftKings Strategy 

Salary is also not a concern on DraftKings tonight as well as have the option to play anyone we want with the relax salary on majority of the star players on each team.  We have to take under consideration the CPT spot as we have to pay an extra for whoever we choose at this spot. I recommend building 2-3 ways for DraftKings as well. 

• Gibson leads our model on DraftKings by a significant amount at the CPT spot due to the savings we get from him compared to the QBs. Unlike FanDuel where we recommend going elsewhere in tournaments on DraftKings we recommend to have a pretty decent amount of Gibson as your CPT. The one way we can get different tonight and still have Gibson as our CPT is to leave salary on the table. Im not talking about 500 dollars or 1K Im talking like at the min 2K. Ownership will be very concentrated tonight and we need to find ways to be unique in our builds.

•  Rostering one of the QBs is a option as well but I would much rather roster one of the WRs instead as we have a clear #1 option on the WSH side in Terry Mclaurin and also we have Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay on the other side. I am leaning towards Terry as my top option but whichever WR you choose be sure to pair him with his QB.

• Defenses are in play as well tonight on DraftKings. Our Model does not like them as a CPT option but they are fine plays at the Flex option.

• Overall, my preferred plan is to take the savings and play Gibson as my CPT tonight and leave a significant amount of salary on the table in all of my builds. Outside of Gibson I recommend having a few shares of Taylor Heinicke and Terry McLaurin.
